At Parisserie, our idea is to pamper the taste buds with a range of classic French cakes, desserts and chocolates with a contemporary twist. The accent is on presenting a range of entremets in which the play of myriad textures and complementing flavours takes centre stage.
Our handcrafted desserts are elegant, fresh and indulgent. A feast for the eyes and the palate. Much like the French do it, we work with the best ingredients to bring an unparalleled gastronomic experience to the dessert lover.
Meet the Team
Farah Shroff
Farah Shroff is a co-founder of Parisserie.
She completed her Chartered Accountancy and went on to join a job in Consultancy where she realised that her passion was elsewhere, and a steady corporate job was not worth putting aside her dream of starting her own patisserie.
At 25, she finally took the plunge and quit her corporate job to enroll in one of Paris’ most renowned pastry school – Ferrandi, The French School of Culinary Arts.
Farah travelled across France for over a year to add practical experience and truly expose herself to French pastry by working with several prominent brands like Thierry Bamas Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in Biarritz, South of France; Guy Savoy (3-Michelin star) in Paris, and Frederic Cassel in Fontainebleau.
Nayantara Thomas
Nayantara Thomas is a co-founder of Parisserie.
Pastry was always where her heart and passion lay, but Nayantara decided to initially complete her graduation. While attaining a bachelor’s degree in Media & Advertising from Sophia College, Mumbai, she completed a certificate baking course at Sophia’s Polytechnic, where she took her first steps towards a career in patisserie.
She went on to train at Hyatt Regency, and J.W. Marriott, both in Pune. Her first exposure to French pastry came when she joined La Bouchee D’or, a French patisserie in Pune.
Nayantara then decided that it was time to refine her skills and joined the renowned Le Cordon Bleu, London, where she picked up the finer nuances of the craft and graduated with a Grand Diplome.
Upon her return, she worked at La Folie, The Flour Works, and was then part of The Baking Co., a pastry studio in Mumbai.
